James Harley Errington was born August 17,
1927 and died January 13, 2005 at Central
Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS, at
age 77.
He served in the U.S. Army and later worked
for 45 years as a plant manager for Green
Brothers Gravel Company before retiring and
was an active member of Georgetown Baptist
Church.
He was the son of James Buck Errington
(1900-1969) and Willie Jane Taylor Errington
(1902-1994). Survivors include his wife Doris
Knight Errington, Sons Joe Errington and
Ronnie Errington, both of Georgetown and
grandchildren B.J., Megan, and Chelsee. He
was preceded in death by several siblings
including Ella Rea Errington Powell, Robert
Lee Errington, Loyce Virginia Errington
Lowery, and Wilton Ray “Bo” Errington.
Services were held January 14, 2005 at
Georgetown Baptist Church in Georgetown,
with burial at Georgetown Cemetery in Copiah
County, MS.
